About Fragrance Oil
  • The fragrance oils sold by Scent Memory are a manufacturing product. They are not skin safe on their own and must be diluted prior to use. 
  • Our oils are formulated to generally work in candle and body care applications, but must be tested for compatibility in your product. 
  • Due to the concentration of the oils safety precautions must be taken when handling them. 

What are fragrance oils?

Fragrance oils are synthetic or blended aromatic compounds designed to mimic natural scents or create entirely new ones. Unlike essential oils, which are extracted from plants, fragrance oils are crafted by blending aromatic chemicals and natural extracts. This careful formulation allows for a wide range of scents that may not be possible to achieve with essential oils alone and also allows for greater safety and performance in their applications. 

How Can Fragrance Oils Be Used?

Though they smell beautiful on their own, fragrance oils are a manufacturing product and must be diluted prior to use. They can be formulated for one specific purpose (such as for soap or in a candle) or for a wider range of applications - however, no one fragrance oil will work in ALL applications, so testing your products is a must. The fragrance oils that Scent Memory Fragrance offer are generally formulated to be safe in candle and body care applications. 

Are Fragrance Oils Safe On Their Own?

Just like any concentrated product, care must be used in handling fragrance oils prior to dilution in product. Every fragrance oil product page contains the Safety Data Sheet (SDS) in the "Regulatory Documents" tab. Download and review prior to using the fragrance oil. 
Safety Information
  • Fragrance oils are a manufacturing product used in making candles, soap and other products. They must be diluted before use.
  • Refer to the IFRA tab for maximum skin safety usage rates, and review the IFRA document carefully. 
  • Maximum usage rates refer to skin safety percentages only and are not recommendations for usage rates in products or formulas. Refer to your formula for the recommended usage rate, and do not use the fragrance oil if the IFRA rate is not rated highly enough for use in your product. 
  • Download and review the SDS (Safety Data Sheet) document provided in the IFRA & SDS tab. Follow all safety guidelines recommended. Do not allow contact with skin or ingest. Follow all IFRA guidelines for dilution in product.  Care should be used in handling at all times.

For our Canadian Friends: we highly recommend Shippsy.com as a package forwarder. UPS charges very high brokerage fees and duty on oils even if they are manufactured in the United States. Shippsy will not charge these fees if a commercial invoice showing the oil origin is provided. We are happy to provide this upon request. You are responsible to ensure all import regulations are followed, including documentation and product approval. Scent Memory is responsible only for delivery to a US domestic address and consider orders closed once delivery confirmation is received.

International Shipping: At this time Scent Memory only ships within the United States and its territories. We are responsible only for delivery to a US domestic address and consider orders closed once delivery confirmation is received.

Shipping Policy: Scent Memory ships orders through the United States Postal Service and UPS. All orders are assigned tracking numbers which are transmitted to the customer within 24 hours of shipping.

Orders that are marked as delivered by the shipping carrier are considered complete. Scent Memory is not responsible for stolen or missing packages after the carrier conveys delivered status. Individuals should work with their local post office or UPS location to identify exact location of delivery.

Returned Packages: In the event of a returned package due to undeliverable location, customer refusal or incorrect address, Scent Memory will send the customer and invoice for redelivery. If this is not paid, a refund on the purchase will be made minus the original delivery fee.

Damaged Packages: In the event of a damaged package please contact info@scentmemoryfragrance.com with pictures of the packaging and the product, with a description of and the extent of the damage. This is required for Scent Memory to file a shipping damage claim.

I bought it when it was named Creamy Yuzu

I bought it when it was named Creamy Yuzu. I could not get over thinking about Hi-chew candies whenever I worked with it. I have a love-hate relationship with Hi-chew candies. So delicious, fruity, chewy, and satisfying I had a hard time stopping myself from eating it. In the meantime I was a bit disappointed because I didn't quite feel the Yuzu as stated in the name, so I did not know what to make of it. Months later, I revisited it. I made an orange slice soap with it as part of my baby shower favors and that reminded me of the orange ice cream that my coresidents ate when we went to New Jersey for a long weekend trip from Long Island. Residency was tough, especially an out-of-state one, and I could not have made it this far in my career without my coresidents. I miss them so much! Bitter sweet memories. The new name definitely fits this FO better!

This is an adult version of a childhood treat , it a citrus warm hug. I use this scent for diffuser and I keep coming back to this one after I try new ones. Nothing compares and the scent is strong, I can smell it down the hall before I open my door .

This was a hard one at first for me. Unfortunately, orange creamsicle fragrances always remind me of Cheetos. Apparently this is just my nose because my family doesn’t have this problem. However, I followed the recipe for “Orange Dream Cocktail”, substituting Cozy By the Fire for Stiff Drink & a Smoke and it smells divine!

Reminds me of a melting citrus creamsicle bar. I absolutely love yuzu, but I get more mandarin than yuzu so the current name is fitting. Wish it was more yuzu, but still nice. Perfect amount of creaminess in this one.

This one pleasantly surprised me! I wasn’t too familiar with yuzu, but after smelling this fragrance it seemed familiar. I think this is a common citrus note you smell at high-end spas or in luxury stores such as LV, Chanel, etc. It’s refreshing, sweet, but also light and delicate!

I have only used this in soap, but it's amazing so far. I have noticed a bit of discoloration, just a small amount of darkening, but the fragrance has held really well during the cure. I'm excited to launch this for my next market.

I will die on the creamy yuzu hill, this is a GREAT yuzu fragrance with just a bit of vanilla and milkiness. Its teetering in an awkward middle ground between being a yuzu milk candy smell, and bright slap you in the face fresh yuzu, but it smells good! Definitely yuzu, definitely creamy.

I have an affection for YUZU scent and this one is not bracing. It is softer and I wish it was a little creamier but It MIGHT BE if its in a different application than cold process soap. This scent accelerated and discolored but it would be lovely in a sugar scrub or candle.
