Black Berries & Rose Petals V2

This fragrance is not a sweet berry experience - it smells of green blackberry leaves, rose petals and freshly picked berries with no sugar added. A fresh, green fragrance perfect for summer.

About Fragrance Oil
  • The fragrance oils sold by Scent Memory are a manufacturing product. They are not skin safe on their own and must be diluted prior to use.
  • Our oils are formulated to generally work in candle and body care applications, but must be tested for compatibility in your product.
  • Due to the concentration of the oils safety precautions must be taken when handling them.

What are fragrance oils?

Fragrance oils are synthetic or blended aromatic compounds designed to mimic natural scents or create entirely new ones. Unlike essential oils, which are extracted from plants, fragrance oils are crafted by blending aromatic chemicals and natural extracts. This careful formulation allows for a wide range of scents that may not be possible to achieve with essential oils alone and also allows for greater safety and performance in their applications.

How Can Fragrance Oils Be Used?

Though they smell beautiful on their own, fragrance oils are a manufacturing product and must be diluted prior to use. They can be formulated for one specific purpose (such as for soap or in a candle) or for a wider range of applications - however, no one fragrance oil will work in ALL applications, so testing your products is a must. The fragrance oils that Scent Memory Fragrance offer are generally formulated to be safe in candle and body care applications.

Are Fragrance Oils Safe On Their Own?

Just like any concentrated product, care must be used in handling fragrance oils prior to dilution in product. Every fragrance oil product page contains the Safety Data Sheet (SDS) in the "Regulatory Documents" tab. Download and review prior to using the fragrance oil.

Safety Information
  • Fragrance oils are a manufacturing product used in making candles, soap and other products. They must be diluted before use.
  • Refer to the IFRA tab for maximum skin safety usage rates, and review the IFRA document carefully.
  • Maximum usage rates refer to skin safety percentages only and are not recommendations for usage rates in products or formulas. Refer to your formula for the recommended usage rate, and do not use the fragrance oil if the IFRA rate is not rated highly enough for use in your product.
  • Download and review the SDS (Safety Data Sheet) document provided in the IFRA & SDS tab. Follow all safety guidelines recommended. Do not allow contact with skin or ingest. Follow all IFRA guidelines for dilution in product.  Care should be used in handling at all times.

DISCLAIMER: The fragrance oils sold by Scent Memory are a manufacturing component and not a finished product. Scent Memory is not responsible for any products made from materials purchased from the site, nor do we guarantee the performance or safety of the end product. Proper testing and ensuring compatibility of all materials the is the responsibility of the purchaser. We always recommend purchasing the smallest amount of product available and testing before committing to a larger size.

This is so spot on for the Diptyche scent

This is so spot on for the Diptyche scent. Few people could notice the difference. Not a personal favorite.

Love, love, love this scent! I received a sample and ended up purchasing a large bottle to make a variety of body products. I tested it in CP soap, and it performed well.

Beautiful scent, the rose is gorgeous and blackberry is light when first opened bottle. Can't wait to get the full experience in my soaps!

Not my favorite but I made it into a perfume and customers love it

Cloe but too heavy on the floral. I would purchase more and try to blend but now I'm seeing only available in 10 lb. size. I can't use that much, especially heading into fall.

Smells great but is heavy on the rose. I mix it with a currant fragrance to get a better balance. I wish this one had more green & currant notes. But, it does mix nicely and that helps it smell more like to the high end fragrance.

Berries and fresh rose… Simple but nice!

I have used Blackberries and Rose petals in a perfume blend and it is one of our signature fragrances. I can't wait to put it in wax!

A little too tart for me but I can see the appeal

A

Not quite there….Compared to the original, this one seems to lean heavier on the rose and lacks some of the fresh crisp brightness of the black currant. I may try blending this one to bring more of the sharp fruitiness out of it.

A lovely rose scent that performs well in coconut wax blend. Not familiar with the original but have blended with Red Currant and it smells amazing.

Not my favorite. Personally I've never tried the dyptique version. I use coconut soy wax. I've tested in tarts, small vessels, larger vessels...idk...it doesn't perform well for me. Scent is light. I'd give the hot throw a 6/10.

A
A.R.

This scent did not live up to my expectations. It's heavy on the green leaves and rose, and not enough berries. It's strong in soy wax, both hot and cold throw, but didn't sell well for me. I ended up removing it from my lineup after lackluster response from my customers.

This is the best rose scent, very clean and not overwhelming. It has the layered complexity you would expect from a high-end oil. I tested this in GW464 at 8%, very light so could go higher.

Right out of the bottle I get a lot more rose than anything else and I love it. It’s one I keep coming back to. I haven’t decided how I want to use it yet between soap, lotion, perfume, scrub… but it’s gotta go into something for the world to smell.

Bright & Strong

This is a very beautiful fragrance and it is quite strong in wax. I had 5 or 6 different test candles burning and this one covered them all. Very very strong HT.

Behaves in CP

No discoloration!! You may not have enough time to do a super intricate design. Scent is strong and seems like it'll stick. This is another good FO for soap makers!

Fresh and Rosie

This fragrance oil smells very similar to the original , I have the candle & the room spray and they are nearly identical. It’s a fresh smell bot sweet rather slightly green , with a rose and a light touch of fresh berries. It’s a lovely scent.

Nice and clean

I am a huge diptyque fan and have a couple of the original perfumes of my own so I was very excited to try this on. It was a little bit disappointing to me but perhaps that is just my unsophisticated nose saying that! The first scent for me was the black current and the greenery and I think I was hoping for more of the roses. But again, after it opens up and you smell it the next day it does get better with age. It is a very nice scent, just a bit different than I imagined.

Tricky

I never afforded myself most of the originals- I'll just admit this! I knew Baies is a Diptyque staple candle scent and also admit I imagined it different than it turned out to be. I received my bottle I had anxiously anticipated and initially was disappointed. I guess I imagined it sweeter? Initial disappointment turned into surprise and me really, really liking this scent though- it surprises because this is another good one where you will keep smelling more and more the more often you take a sniff! This here is a much more natural outside scent- you initially smell rose and crushed Currant leaves and twigs but it softens out into a beautiful marriage of these main notes- you don't get a synthetic or granny rose but something even macho men would like!
As I tried a few more Diptyque scents, I believe I get it, what makes various Diptyque scents such a hit: the combination of the natural fragrances of different plants/flowers and what they rurn into combined. I'm starting to become a fan!

greenery, roses and red berries.

greenery, roses and red berries. Lovely. I actually did not love or even like it until it dried down in the strip and then it was like whoa 😍😍. There was something a bit “off” on first impression/whiff but I feel like this is a sneaky one and it’s going to be gangbusters. I had to come back to it a few times

Lots of Greenery

It smells like outside… which for me is a good thing.. Doesn’t exactly smell like the original but still smells just as good.
