About Fragrance Oil
  • The fragrance oils sold by Scent Memory are a manufacturing product. They are not skin safe on their own and must be diluted prior to use. 
  • Our oils are formulated to generally work in candle and body care applications, but must be tested for compatibility in your product. 
  • Due to the concentration of the oils safety precautions must be taken when handling them. 

What are fragrance oils?

Fragrance oils are synthetic or blended aromatic compounds designed to mimic natural scents or create entirely new ones. Unlike essential oils, which are extracted from plants, fragrance oils are crafted by blending aromatic chemicals and natural extracts. This careful formulation allows for a wide range of scents that may not be possible to achieve with essential oils alone and also allows for greater safety and performance in their applications. 

How Can Fragrance Oils Be Used?

Though they smell beautiful on their own, fragrance oils are a manufacturing product and must be diluted prior to use. They can be formulated for one specific purpose (such as for soap or in a candle) or for a wider range of applications - however, no one fragrance oil will work in ALL applications, so testing your products is a must. The fragrance oils that Scent Memory Fragrance offer are generally formulated to be safe in candle and body care applications. 

Are Fragrance Oils Safe On Their Own?

Just like any concentrated product, care must be used in handling fragrance oils prior to dilution in product. Every fragrance oil product page contains the Safety Data Sheet (SDS) in the "Regulatory Documents" tab. Download and review prior to using the fragrance oil. 
Safety Information
  • Fragrance oils are a manufacturing product used in making candles, soap and other products. They must be diluted before use.
  • Refer to the IFRA tab for maximum skin safety usage rates, and review the IFRA document carefully. 
  • Maximum usage rates refer to skin safety percentages only and are not recommendations for usage rates in products or formulas. Refer to your formula for the recommended usage rate, and do not use the fragrance oil if the IFRA rate is not rated highly enough for use in your product. 
  • Download and review the SDS (Safety Data Sheet) document provided in the IFRA & SDS tab. Follow all safety guidelines recommended. Do not allow contact with skin or ingest. Follow all IFRA guidelines for dilution in product.  Care should be used in handling at all times.

For our Canadian Friends: we highly recommend Shippsy.com as a package forwarder. UPS charges very high brokerage fees and duty on oils even if they are manufactured in the United States. Shippsy will not charge these fees if a commercial invoice showing the oil origin is provided. We are happy to provide this upon request. You are responsible to ensure all import regulations are followed, including documentation and product approval. Scent Memory is responsible only for delivery to a US domestic address and consider orders closed once delivery confirmation is received.

International Shipping: At this time Scent Memory only ships within the United States and its territories. We are responsible only for delivery to a US domestic address and consider orders closed once delivery confirmation is received.

Shipping Policy: Scent Memory ships orders through the United States Postal Service and UPS. All orders are assigned tracking numbers which are transmitted to the customer within 24 hours of shipping.

Orders that are marked as delivered by the shipping carrier are considered complete. Scent Memory is not responsible for stolen or missing packages after the carrier conveys delivered status. Individuals should work with their local post office or UPS location to identify exact location of delivery.

Returned Packages: In the event of a returned package due to undeliverable location, customer refusal or incorrect address, Scent Memory will send the customer and invoice for redelivery. If this is not paid, a refund on the purchase will be made minus the original delivery fee.

Damaged Packages: In the event of a damaged package please contact info@scentmemoryfragrance.com with pictures of the packaging and the product, with a description of and the extent of the damage. This is required for Scent Memory to file a shipping damage claim.

Heck yes. Another that I slept on for too long and I’m so happy I finally ordered this. It is so great and not overpowering. I needed to replace a rather bold coffee FO for something lighter and this did the trick. It’s so smooth.

I have tried so many coffee scents and this is maybe the closest I have found to whatever I'm looking for. I can't articulate what I'm looking for, not sweet, not milky but not too straight roasted either (I find those burn weird in candles). This is a wake up call in the best way, medium throw, very pleasant.

Exactly how you want to take your coffee. freshest roast you can think of and the hint of lemon in it just elevates and makes it complex. A very grown up gourmand scent. I don't care for too many gourmand scents but this one is so complex it makes it more than just a coffee scent. Love this one!

I don't know what the original that this is inspired by smells like but, my gosh, this FO smells amazing. If you're a coffee lover, this is definitely for you! It's the most realistic and strongest coffee FO I have smelled to date and I can definitely see it working for many bath and body items, though I purchased it to use as a blender for making perfume sprays (which it is also great for, IMHO.) It really smells like I am holding a fresh cup of rich, dark roast coffee in front of me.

I WANT TO ROLL AROUND IN THIS FRAGRANCE. This is like the platonic ideal of what breakfast coffee smells like - it is STUNNING. I've got several dozen SM fragrance oils now and this is top 3 for sure. Possibly top 2.

I love this fragrance! Unique and throws very well in coconut wax. I get a hint of chocolate even though it isn’t listed. I’m a coffee drinker but have never purchased a coffee scented candle, but if it smelled like this I certainly would.

I don't know if I am alone in my thoughts about SM continental breakfast. That fragrance is wonderful, but I don't get the fragrance notes or anything that makes me think breakfast. Still it's a great fragrance. Well, this wake up call is breakfast. Some sweet pastry, coffee and some of the nice notes I get in the continental breakfast fo (the cardamom for sure). Throws great. Works in CP with a light brown/tan discoloration.

I am off on some grand vacation in an exquisite resort and I have awakened to a scrumptious silver platter breakfast. Placed on the table by the window, all the scents lazily waft over on a morning breeze. I first pick up on Belgian waffles drizzled in warm maple syrup, with hints of silky, hazelnut coffee and freshly squeezed orange juice.
You don't want to write this off as just a run of the mill hazelnut coffee, it's so much more.

This is the most complex coffee scent I’ve smelled in my life !!!!! Truly unique and full of richness from the coffee beans and cardamom ; the lemon zest cuts the sweetness slightly while the woods compliments the main scent which is the coffee beans. Beautiful 🤩
