About Fragrance Oil
  • The fragrance oils sold by Scent Memory are a manufacturing product. They are not skin safe on their own and must be diluted prior to use. 
  • Our oils are formulated to generally work in candle and body care applications, but must be tested for compatibility in your product. 
  • Due to the concentration of the oils safety precautions must be taken when handling them. 

What are fragrance oils?

Fragrance oils are synthetic or blended aromatic compounds designed to mimic natural scents or create entirely new ones. Unlike essential oils, which are extracted from plants, fragrance oils are crafted by blending aromatic chemicals and natural extracts. This careful formulation allows for a wide range of scents that may not be possible to achieve with essential oils alone and also allows for greater safety and performance in their applications. 

How Can Fragrance Oils Be Used?

Though they smell beautiful on their own, fragrance oils are a manufacturing product and must be diluted prior to use. They can be formulated for one specific purpose (such as for soap or in a candle) or for a wider range of applications - however, no one fragrance oil will work in ALL applications, so testing your products is a must. The fragrance oils that Scent Memory Fragrance offer are generally formulated to be safe in candle and body care applications. 

Are Fragrance Oils Safe On Their Own?

Just like any concentrated product, care must be used in handling fragrance oils prior to dilution in product. Every fragrance oil product page contains the Safety Data Sheet (SDS) in the "Regulatory Documents" tab. Download and review prior to using the fragrance oil. 
Safety Information
  • Fragrance oils are a manufacturing product used in making candles, soap and other products. They must be diluted before use.
  • Refer to the IFRA tab for maximum skin safety usage rates, and review the IFRA document carefully. 
  • Maximum usage rates refer to skin safety percentages only and are not recommendations for usage rates in products or formulas. Refer to your formula for the recommended usage rate, and do not use the fragrance oil if the IFRA rate is not rated highly enough for use in your product. 
  • Download and review the SDS (Safety Data Sheet) document provided in the IFRA & SDS tab. Follow all safety guidelines recommended. Do not allow contact with skin or ingest. Follow all IFRA guidelines for dilution in product.  Care should be used in handling at all times.

For our Canadian Friends: we highly recommend Shippsy.com as a package forwarder. UPS charges very high brokerage fees and duty on oils even if they are manufactured in the United States. Shippsy will not charge these fees if a commercial invoice showing the oil origin is provided. We are happy to provide this upon request. You are responsible to ensure all import regulations are followed, including documentation and product approval. Scent Memory is responsible only for delivery to a US domestic address and consider orders closed once delivery confirmation is received.

International Shipping: At this time Scent Memory only ships within the United States and its territories. We are responsible only for delivery to a US domestic address and consider orders closed once delivery confirmation is received.

Shipping Policy: Scent Memory ships orders through the United States Postal Service and UPS. All orders are assigned tracking numbers which are transmitted to the customer within 24 hours of shipping.

Orders that are marked as delivered by the shipping carrier are considered complete. Scent Memory is not responsible for stolen or missing packages after the carrier conveys delivered status. Individuals should work with their local post office or UPS location to identify exact location of delivery.

Returned Packages: In the event of a returned package due to undeliverable location, customer refusal or incorrect address, Scent Memory will send the customer and invoice for redelivery. If this is not paid, a refund on the purchase will be made minus the original delivery fee.

Damaged Packages: In the event of a damaged package please contact info@scentmemoryfragrance.com with pictures of the packaging and the product, with a description of and the extent of the damage. This is required for Scent Memory to file a shipping damage claim.

I almost didn't buy this because so many green fragrances have a sharp, strange note in them that I just don't love. But I am SO GLAD I bought this one. It is very fresh, very clean, and very sophisticated. Nothing at all like the off-putting green fragrances I have smelled from other companies. Garden Greens is in a league of its own! I hesitates buying this one for a long time because I wasn't expecting it to be what it is. I misinterpreted some of the description & was maybe thrown off by some of the reviews or, again, misinterpreted them. This is a very nice fragrance. As the description says it is fresh, green & bright. Don't underestimate the "bright". It's not at all heavy or spicy. It's also not a dark green or earthy, soil-y grass scent. It reminds me more of the greens that accompany a bouquet of flowers. It also reminds me of Blacberries & Rose Petals but without the rose note or the subtle blackberries. It's very fresh and spring like and more of a green flower garden than a green vegetable garden. It's fantastic!

Where to start? It's such a fresh, green, earthy, spicy, herbal and for sure arugula. I've mixed it with SM Tomato Vine and called it Italian Night. I even smell that spicy note I always taste and love when I eat an arugula salad. I think the grapefruit note is the secret ingredient, but it doesn't scream grapefruit. This scent is super strong in coconut wax. It works great on its own (maybe drop the percentage) and adds plenty of body to other scents. My favorite blend is Garden Greens, Profumo di Giardino, and tomato vine (heavy on the tomato) and you have an entire garden.

Garden Greens is fresh, green and grassy with just a hint of spring florals to soften it a bit. It's throws well in coco-apricot wax. It would also be a great blender with other oils. My only wish is that this had a higher IFRA percentage for soap.

If your looking for an arugula fragrance look no further! This one gives off green garden vibes. It throws beautifully as well. It's personally not my type of scent but it doesn't mean that it isn't a great scent!

I was a bit nervous about trying this one as I'm not a fan of grassy and green fragrances. I decided to try it first in wax melts, and I have to say that it is delightful. If you are seeking a clean green but refreshing (almost spa-like) fragrance, this is a winner.

If you are looking for a strong green, grass like scent, this is it. There is a really fresh, tart rose in here as well; no grandma rose to me though. There is a note of Cyclamen also here; which is genus of 23 species of flowers native to Europe and the Mediterranean basin. In perfumery Cyclamen is described as a floral stem like odor with a cucumber melon like scent. Perfumes with Cyclamen are Armani by Giorgio Armani, Oui Play Decandent Queen by Juicy Courture and Tribe by Coty. I can attest to the fact that it really throws.

Slightly floral and slightly sweet, but definitely not too much of each. The best part is how strong the throw is! I have had it in a diffuser for several weeks and I still smell it every time I walk into the room. The room is SO fresh! A definite for a spring scent.
