About Fragrance Oil
  • The fragrance oils sold by Scent Memory are a manufacturing product. They are not skin safe on their own and must be diluted prior to use. 
  • Our oils are formulated to generally work in candle and body care applications, but must be tested for compatibility in your product. 
  • Due to the concentration of the oils safety precautions must be taken when handling them. 

What are fragrance oils?

Fragrance oils are synthetic or blended aromatic compounds designed to mimic natural scents or create entirely new ones. Unlike essential oils, which are extracted from plants, fragrance oils are crafted by blending aromatic chemicals and natural extracts. This careful formulation allows for a wide range of scents that may not be possible to achieve with essential oils alone and also allows for greater safety and performance in their applications. 

How Can Fragrance Oils Be Used?

Though they smell beautiful on their own, fragrance oils are a manufacturing product and must be diluted prior to use. They can be formulated for one specific purpose (such as for soap or in a candle) or for a wider range of applications - however, no one fragrance oil will work in ALL applications, so testing your products is a must. The fragrance oils that Scent Memory Fragrance offer are generally formulated to be safe in candle and body care applications. 

Are Fragrance Oils Safe On Their Own?

Just like any concentrated product, care must be used in handling fragrance oils prior to dilution in product. Every fragrance oil product page contains the Safety Data Sheet (SDS) in the "Regulatory Documents" tab. Download and review prior to using the fragrance oil. 
Safety Information
  • Fragrance oils are a manufacturing product used in making candles, soap and other products. They must be diluted before use.
  • Refer to the IFRA tab for maximum skin safety usage rates, and review the IFRA document carefully. 
  • Maximum usage rates refer to skin safety percentages only and are not recommendations for usage rates in products or formulas. Refer to your formula for the recommended usage rate, and do not use the fragrance oil if the IFRA rate is not rated highly enough for use in your product. 
  • Download and review the SDS (Safety Data Sheet) document provided in the IFRA & SDS tab. Follow all safety guidelines recommended. Do not allow contact with skin or ingest. Follow all IFRA guidelines for dilution in product.  Care should be used in handling at all times.

HI, AK & Territories: We reserve the right to bill addresses in Hawaii, Alaska and US territories for unusually high shipping costs. Packages are limited to 10 lbs. Please email us as info@scentmemoryfragrance.com to confirm shipping cost.

For our Canadian Friends: we highly recommend Shippsy.com as a package forwarder. UPS charges very high brokerage fees and duty on oils even if they are manufactured in the United States. Shippsy will not charge these fees if a commercial invoice showing the oil origin is provided. We are happy to provide this upon request. You are responsible to ensure all import regulations are followed, including documentation and product approval. Scent Memory is responsible only for delivery to a US domestic address and consider orders closed once delivery confirmation is received.

International Shipping: At this time Scent Memory only ships within the United States and its territories. We are responsible only for delivery to a US domestic address and consider orders closed once delivery confirmation is received.

Shipping Policy: Scent Memory ships orders through the United States Postal Service and UPS. All orders are assigned tracking numbers which are transmitted to the customer within 24 hours of shipping.

Orders that are marked as delivered by the shipping carrier are considered complete. Scent Memory is not responsible for stolen or missing packages after the carrier conveys delivered status. Individuals should work with their local post office or UPS location to identify exact location of delivery.

Returned Packages: In the event of a returned package due to undeliverable location, customer refusal or incorrect address, Scent Memory will send the customer and invoice for redelivery. If this is not paid, a refund on the purchase will be made minus the original delivery fee.

Damaged Packages: In the event of a damaged package please contact info@scentmemoryfragrance.com with pictures of the packaging and the product, with a description of and the extent of the damage. This is required for Scent Memory to file a shipping damage claim.

Gives me an old-school Christmas vibe. Reminds me of how the holidays smelt as a little kid in the late 80s early 90s. For those of you who like very strong candles the HT could be a tad bit better, but is acceptable for the general public. I used 10% in No. 7 Soy Wax with a 3-week cure time.

I use No. 7 soy wax from 16/17 and FO @ 10% and I cannot get a hot throw from any of the fragrance oils I purchased from Scent Memory. Cold throw is great, but hot throw I rate it a 3/10 max.

Strong, crisp, cold, wintery, and fresh without the use of a eucalyptus/mint note. I love this one simply because it’s unique and absolutely different from any other winter scents I’ve ever used. Great in wax melts.

Very wintery and fresh! To me, it almost smells like an elevated version of Irish Spring soap - in the best way possible, of course! I like to keep the candles I make with this fragrance in my bathrooms around the holidays because it adds a touch of festivity, but is also super clean and refreshing.

Although I do get a winter vybe from this one, it is my go to spa scent. I use this in my salt baths, room sprays, wax melts, and freshies!! My clients absolutely love the fresh menthol woody scent, and I have to say it is one of my top 5 SM scents. The cold and hot throw in wax is unbelievable as well. You don't need much, and it lasts a very long time. You will not be disappointed!!

Fast Acceleration in CP Soap

This scent is so lovely out of the bottle. It reminds me of waking a quaint town with all the twinkling Christmas lights after a rain fall.
This soaped beautifully in MP, but has a very fast acceleration in CP. No time for any designs, just mix, and pour. I’m excited to cut this bar, and to see what the scent retention is. For a holiday scent this is a solid 5 stars, for MP I’d give this scent 5 stars, but for CP due to how fast it accelerates I would sadly have to give 3 stars.
