About Fragrance Oil
  • The fragrance oils sold by Scent Memory are a manufacturing product. They are not skin safe on their own and must be diluted prior to use. 
  • Our oils are formulated to generally work in candle and body care applications, but must be tested for compatibility in your product. 
  • Due to the concentration of the oils safety precautions must be taken when handling them. 

What are fragrance oils?

Fragrance oils are synthetic or blended aromatic compounds designed to mimic natural scents or create entirely new ones. Unlike essential oils, which are extracted from plants, fragrance oils are crafted by blending aromatic chemicals and natural extracts. This careful formulation allows for a wide range of scents that may not be possible to achieve with essential oils alone and also allows for greater safety and performance in their applications. 

How Can Fragrance Oils Be Used?

Though they smell beautiful on their own, fragrance oils are a manufacturing product and must be diluted prior to use. They can be formulated for one specific purpose (such as for soap or in a candle) or for a wider range of applications - however, no one fragrance oil will work in ALL applications, so testing your products is a must. The fragrance oils that Scent Memory Fragrance offer are generally formulated to be safe in candle and body care applications. 

Are Fragrance Oils Safe On Their Own?

Just like any concentrated product, care must be used in handling fragrance oils prior to dilution in product. Every fragrance oil product page contains the Safety Data Sheet (SDS) in the "Regulatory Documents" tab. Download and review prior to using the fragrance oil. 
Safety Information
  • Fragrance oils are a manufacturing product used in making candles, soap and other products. They must be diluted before use.
  • Refer to the IFRA tab for maximum skin safety usage rates, and review the IFRA document carefully. 
  • Maximum usage rates refer to skin safety percentages only and are not recommendations for usage rates in products or formulas. Refer to your formula for the recommended usage rate, and do not use the fragrance oil if the IFRA rate is not rated highly enough for use in your product. 
  • Download and review the SDS (Safety Data Sheet) document provided in the IFRA & SDS tab. Follow all safety guidelines recommended. Do not allow contact with skin or ingest. Follow all IFRA guidelines for dilution in product.  Care should be used in handling at all times.

For our Canadian Friends: we highly recommend Shippsy.com as a package forwarder. UPS charges very high brokerage fees and duty on oils even if they are manufactured in the United States. Shippsy will not charge these fees if a commercial invoice showing the oil origin is provided. We are happy to provide this upon request. You are responsible to ensure all import regulations are followed, including documentation and product approval. Scent Memory is responsible only for delivery to a US domestic address and consider orders closed once delivery confirmation is received.

International Shipping: At this time Scent Memory only ships within the United States and its territories. We are responsible only for delivery to a US domestic address and consider orders closed once delivery confirmation is received.

Shipping Policy: Scent Memory ships orders through the United States Postal Service and UPS. All orders are assigned tracking numbers which are transmitted to the customer within 24 hours of shipping.

Orders that are marked as delivered by the shipping carrier are considered complete. Scent Memory is not responsible for stolen or missing packages after the carrier conveys delivered status. Individuals should work with their local post office or UPS location to identify exact location of delivery.

Returned Packages: In the event of a returned package due to undeliverable location, customer refusal or incorrect address, Scent Memory will send the customer and invoice for redelivery. If this is not paid, a refund on the purchase will be made minus the original delivery fee.

Damaged Packages: In the event of a damaged package please contact info@scentmemoryfragrance.com with pictures of the packaging and the product, with a description of and the extent of the damage. This is required for Scent Memory to file a shipping damage claim.

This scent was too floral for me, and didn't make it into production.

The orange blossom scent was way too sharp for me. When I first opened the bottle I thought I got the wrong item because I was expecting a hint of sweetness and citrus but both got completely covered by the orange blossom scent. I tried it in my soap multiple times thinking maybe it would bring out what I was looking for but it unfortunately didn't. I am attracted to sweet FOs in general, so this FO is not for me. This FO is definitely very heavy on the blossom.

Definitely worth trying for lovers of sharp orange blossom neroli type scents. Trying to decide which I prefer out of this one or Orange Tree in Bloom as I enjoy both but they are definitely similar enough to each other that I wouldn’t carry both.

THIS SCENT!!!😍😍😍😍 It is probably one of my FAVORITE SM scents! It's clean and fresh! If I was to guess how heaven smells like, this fragrance would be it! Imagine little cherubs running around in the clouds and laughing their happy laughs!😍😍😍

Ooooh! I love neroli. It’s hard to get it right, but this is very damn close and the mix of orange blossom is really luxurious. Made a little sock drawer freshener with this and I love it. Threw so good in soy wax! This is gonna be in my line forever.

Maybe it's my bottle but the review below says it's a true neroli. I've actually brought back neroli essential oil from Morocco....in my experience this is a quarter or less of the character. Found this quite weak oob, I get neroli but even more dominant is a soapy quality. I don't think this smells heady at all....SM Tuberrose is quite heady to me. I tried this in 3 waxes since neroli is my favorite scent but same results.

True neroli

This is one of my favorite floral scents. It smells very authentic, like straight neroli. It is far superior to any other neroli fragrance oil I’ve smelled. It performs well in wax and as a body oil and in other applications too.

Amazing.

I love Neroli but sadly, most oils I have purchased have an astringent type quality to me.

Not this one. THIS ONE IS PERFECT! It's clean and fresh both OOB and burning. Definitely going to order a bigger bottle next time!

Surprising!

This one really surprised me! It’s almost like a manly floral, if that makes sense?!?! It’s a little sharp and a little green to me, but the longer it burns the better it gets. I have to keep going back to smell it; it’s complex and very intriguing.

A pretty, sweet floral. I'm not a fan of florals so I am not talented at identifying different notes, but Scent Memory florals tend to not be so stinky and cloying! In my mind, this is like nectar straight from the flower. It gives me the image of being a fairy in a forest, crushing a petal between your hands as you lean in to drink straight from a flower. Is that too extra of me? Maybe!

Soaps beautifully. No discoloration in my pastel blue, pink, and white soap colored with mica. Scent holds strong and blends well. Didn't accelerate trace or rice either!

Neroli Blossom: Le sigh…THE orange blossom scent. Like, don’t even go looking for anything else because Kristen hit the mother *#€%¥>$ ball out of the orange grove and ever living sunshine park with this one. You get a sucker punch right to the kisser of glorious, floral, orangey, delight but then all the green bits shortly follow behind and you have no other choice but to huff until you can’t huff anymore…A true presence bringer. This one pulls you right into the “now”. And then there’s this aura of young innocent love that perhaps teeters on losing the innocence…growing up if you will. A reminder that true love is hard to find, but the seeking of it is worth it. Unisex AF. I think someone was asking about a good masculine floral scent a few days ago…winner winner, chicken dinner.
