About Fragrance Oil
  • The fragrance oils sold by Scent Memory are a manufacturing product. They are not skin safe on their own and must be diluted prior to use. 
  • Our oils are formulated to generally work in candle and body care applications, but must be tested for compatibility in your product. 
  • Due to the concentration of the oils safety precautions must be taken when handling them. 

What are fragrance oils?

Fragrance oils are synthetic or blended aromatic compounds designed to mimic natural scents or create entirely new ones. Unlike essential oils, which are extracted from plants, fragrance oils are crafted by blending aromatic chemicals and natural extracts. This careful formulation allows for a wide range of scents that may not be possible to achieve with essential oils alone and also allows for greater safety and performance in their applications. 

How Can Fragrance Oils Be Used?

Though they smell beautiful on their own, fragrance oils are a manufacturing product and must be diluted prior to use. They can be formulated for one specific purpose (such as for soap or in a candle) or for a wider range of applications - however, no one fragrance oil will work in ALL applications, so testing your products is a must. The fragrance oils that Scent Memory Fragrance offer are generally formulated to be safe in candle and body care applications. 

Are Fragrance Oils Safe On Their Own?

Just like any concentrated product, care must be used in handling fragrance oils prior to dilution in product. Every fragrance oil product page contains the Safety Data Sheet (SDS) in the "Regulatory Documents" tab. Download and review prior to using the fragrance oil.

  • Fragrance oils are a manufacturing product used in making candles, soap and other products. They must be diluted before use.
  • Refer to the IFRA tab for maximum skin safety usage rates, and review the IFRA document carefully. 
  • Maximum usage rates refer to skin safety percentages only and are not recommendations for usage rates in products or formulas. Refer to your formula for the recommended usage rate, and do not use the fragrance oil if the IFRA rate is not rated highly enough for use in your product. 
  • Download and review the SDS (Safety Data Sheet) document provided in the IFRA & SDS tab. Follow all safety guidelines recommended. Do not allow contact with skin or ingest. Follow all IFRA guidelines for dilution in product.  Care should be used in handling at all times.

For our Canadian Friends: we highly recommend Shippsy.com as a package forwarder. UPS charges very high brokerage fees and duty on oils even if they are manufactured in the United States. Shippsy will not charge these fees if a commercial invoice showing the oil origin is provided. We are happy to provide this upon request. You are responsible to ensure all import regulations are followed, including documentation and product approval. Scent Memory is responsible only for delivery to a US domestic address and consider orders closed once delivery confirmation is received.

International Shipping: At this time Scent Memory only ships within the United States and its territories. We are responsible only for delivery to a US domestic address and consider orders closed once delivery confirmation is received.

Shipping Policy: Scent Memory ships orders through the United States Postal Service and UPS. All orders are assigned tracking numbers which are transmitted to the customer within 24 hours of shipping.

Orders that are marked as delivered by the shipping carrier are considered complete. Scent Memory is not responsible for stolen or missing packages after the carrier conveys delivered status. Individuals should work with their local post office or UPS location to identify exact location of delivery.

Returned Packages: In the event of a returned package due to undeliverable location, customer refusal or incorrect address, Scent Memory will send the customer and invoice for redelivery. If this is not paid, a refund on the purchase will be made minus the original delivery fee.

Damaged Packages: In the event of a damaged package please contact info@scentmemoryfragrance.com with pictures of the packaging and the product, with a description of and the extent of the damage. This is required for Scent Memory to file a shipping damage claim.

Super clean and soapy/bubbly, which makes for a fun experience in wax! Putting this into body products is probably the obvious route for this oil, but my customers had a lot of fun with the candles I made from this one. Love this fragrance!

This is a scent i thought i would not like personally, but i was SO wrong about this one! Its a soft (and somehow crisp at the same time) scent that works great in my candles. It gives off a beautifully soapy and creamy scent!

If you are at all on the fence about this one...just try it! Or, if you've already decided to not try it, reconsider! This one never really seemed like something I would be interested in but I read the review of blending with Linen & Sunshine and I decided it was now worth a try. I really like Soapy Bubbles. It is not "generic soap" or run-of-the-mill bar soap. It is hard for me to put into words but I think it is beautiful

This is a beautiful fragrance. I can't put my finger on it, but some how it does smell nostalgic. Throws well in Coco Apricot Wax! I haven't smelled the OG Maison Margiela Bubble Bath, but I have smelled Beach walk and I have smelled Scent Memories version and it is spot on. If I was a gambling women I would say this is an accurate interpretation of MM Bubble Bath. I can't wait to conclude my final test and start adding this to the line up!

Powdery & complex. Exact dupe for MM!

While I’m not a huge fan of this scent due to the powderyness/floral notes in it, the HT is amazing in candles. I don’t find it actually smells like bubble bath and I wish it had more lavender and coconut milk like it states, I don’t pick up too much of those notes in this!

This FO works wonderfully with no issues but I knock off a star simply for the fact I don’t think this actually smells like true Bubble Bath!

I don't get much from this straight from the bottle or even sampled on paper. It's a generic creamy, musky dry down of soap- almost imperceptible, nothing to write home about. But then! I combine this with Linen & Sunshine and my oh my does Bubble Bath work its magic!

Combining Linen & Sunshine with Bubble Bath gives me that perfect rich person soap scent. Not too soapy/aldehydic like No. 5, not too heavy on the citrus as with Light Blue or Aqua Universalis. It's just perfect. Linen & Sunshine is great on its own but Bubble Bath sort of anchors it and helps the L&S from floating away, off into the territory of generic soap. L&S is very luxurious on its own but it could come across as sort of cheap, like a basic BBW hand soap... But definitely not combined with Bubble Bath type!

Together L&S and Bubble Bath make the perfect couple. The combined scent is luxurious, clean without leaning too heavily on any one note, inviting, slightly cozy and warm yet still bright and fresh, and perfectly unisex. This is the "you smell good" of fragrances, not "your perfume/cologne smells good." The scent is one of having just bathed/showered and now you are clean, not one of having just sprayed something on.

Made a candle with this fragrance. It throws both cold and hot. So beautiful! To my nose it's a clean feminine type smell. But I think it'll appeal to pretty much everyone. I only bought a 4 oz bottle. Big mistake!

Relaxing Scent and throws well

This smells sooo good! Smells just like bubble bath but not soapy. Sweet, soft and creamy. It’s considered a floral, woody musk but to me just really smells like sweet bubble bath. It is a really strong thrower and retains it’s scent in melts and candles from my experience.

Great hot throw

I’m blown away by this fragrance. I made a tester, put it in my bathroom and closed the door. After an hour, I can smell this two rooms away. I highly recommend.
