About Fragrance Oil
  • The fragrance oils sold by Scent Memory are a manufacturing product. They are not skin safe on their own and must be diluted prior to use. 
  • Our oils are formulated to generally work in candle and body care applications, but must be tested for compatibility in your product. 
  • Due to the concentration of the oils safety precautions must be taken when handling them. 

What are fragrance oils?

Fragrance oils are synthetic or blended aromatic compounds designed to mimic natural scents or create entirely new ones. Unlike essential oils, which are extracted from plants, fragrance oils are crafted by blending aromatic chemicals and natural extracts. This careful formulation allows for a wide range of scents that may not be possible to achieve with essential oils alone and also allows for greater safety and performance in their applications. 

How Can Fragrance Oils Be Used?

Though they smell beautiful on their own, fragrance oils are a manufacturing product and must be diluted prior to use. They can be formulated for one specific purpose (such as for soap or in a candle) or for a wider range of applications - however, no one fragrance oil will work in ALL applications, so testing your products is a must. The fragrance oils that Scent Memory Fragrance offer are generally formulated to be safe in candle and body care applications. 

Are Fragrance Oils Safe On Their Own?

Just like any concentrated product, care must be used in handling fragrance oils prior to dilution in product. Every fragrance oil product page contains the Safety Data Sheet (SDS) in the "Regulatory Documents" tab. Download and review prior to using the fragrance oil. 
Safety Information
  • Fragrance oils are a manufacturing product used in making candles, soap and other products. They must be diluted before use.
  • Refer to the IFRA tab for maximum skin safety usage rates, and review the IFRA document carefully. 
  • Maximum usage rates refer to skin safety percentages only and are not recommendations for usage rates in products or formulas. Refer to your formula for the recommended usage rate, and do not use the fragrance oil if the IFRA rate is not rated highly enough for use in your product. 
  • Download and review the SDS (Safety Data Sheet) document provided in the IFRA & SDS tab. Follow all safety guidelines recommended. Do not allow contact with skin or ingest. Follow all IFRA guidelines for dilution in product.  Care should be used in handling at all times.

For our Canadian Friends: we highly recommend Shippsy.com as a package forwarder. UPS charges very high brokerage fees and duty on oils even if they are manufactured in the United States. Shippsy will not charge these fees if a commercial invoice showing the oil origin is provided. We are happy to provide this upon request. You are responsible to ensure all import regulations are followed, including documentation and product approval. Scent Memory is responsible only for delivery to a US domestic address and consider orders closed once delivery confirmation is received.

International Shipping: At this time Scent Memory only ships within the United States and its territories. We are responsible only for delivery to a US domestic address and consider orders closed once delivery confirmation is received.

Shipping Policy: Scent Memory ships orders through the United States Postal Service and UPS. All orders are assigned tracking numbers which are transmitted to the customer within 24 hours of shipping.

Orders that are marked as delivered by the shipping carrier are considered complete. Scent Memory is not responsible for stolen or missing packages after the carrier conveys delivered status. Individuals should work with their local post office or UPS location to identify exact location of delivery.

Returned Packages: In the event of a returned package due to undeliverable location, customer refusal or incorrect address, Scent Memory will send the customer and invoice for redelivery. If this is not paid, a refund on the purchase will be made minus the original delivery fee.

Damaged Packages: In the event of a damaged package please contact info@scentmemoryfragrance.com with pictures of the packaging and the product, with a description of and the extent of the damage. This is required for Scent Memory to file a shipping damage claim.

This is lovely in CP soap. The scent retention is amazing. It’s warm and sweet. The incense notes add richness. I didn’t experience any acceleration and it does discolor to tan.

Very sweet and spicy honey!

Very sweet and spicy honey! The spice component adds a complexity to the FO as a whole. It might be a bit overpowering to use it on its own in soap. Maybe it will work great as a blender. I haven't yet decided what to blend it with, but I'm excited to do my experiments when I get a chance.

If you like true Real Honey you will LOVE this!!! Extremely photorealistic honey imo. I love it on its own but will most definitely be using as a blender too! Very beautiful unique and realistic smell of pure raw honey.

As of now the OOB experience is very honey forward, with a hint of smoke. Adding a depth to this fragrance, which i realy like. With all the great reviews, I need to put this in wax and see.

I want to love it. On a blotter strip this is too intense for me, even with just drop of FO. After dry-down I enjoyed it more as the other notes started to show more behind the strong rose and powdery notes. I hope I am surprised once this gets into wax, and I am converted.

This was not my favorite honey scent in CP soap. It discolored to medium tan, and had mild acceleration. It does however have a strong scent retention so I bet it would work great in a variety of products.

Absolutely stunning in perfume. Amazing longevity as well. The perfect kind of realistic honey notes with something that gives off a sorta dark chocolate vibe in the top notes. Some incense and musk are there too. After a while on skin only the honey could be detected & stayed for long while, then the following day I could still smell the musky incense notes lingering on my arm. On clothing it also had some great staying power, and it faded to that incense aroma, too, kinda reminds me of dragon's blood incense due to the musk. This one is a total masterpiece

I think I’m the odd man out with this one. I can’t get behind it and it makes me so sad. To me it smells like powder and honey had a baby. I usually love all of the Killian-inspired oils. My sniffer may be broken, send help! 😭

Really great HT in Coconut wax. I tried blending it with one or 2 other oils and even at 30% of the total fragrance oils it overpowered the 70% oil- not completely but more than I expected at only 30% of my 9% fragrance load. All that is to say that it is strong and throws quite well!

Black Honey is super alluring. This is makes me think of Honey Drippers' uncle who may have been arrested before but so rich smelling he was let out on bond within 45 minutes. CT in soy wax is so beautiful I keep smelling it. HT quick test scent profile holds itself, moderate throw. Will come back in a week for real test. Plan to burn this in home as holidays are approaching. Also I hate sweet scents generally but this bypassed all prejudice i've got. Wow.
